It's Time for a New Look...

Life's been pretty hectic the past few years, but I've always had a plan to update the look of my blog.  Of course every time I started to seriously think about it I'd get a compliment on the look of my blog, so I felt I shouldn't change it.

But the time has come.  I've been blogging about books since March of 2010--hard to believe it.  I've changed, so it's time for a fresh look!  The current look to my blog isn't permanent; I'll be experimenting a bit until I find a look that reflects how I feel about books, blogging, and life in 2017.  So be patient, and don't be surprised if you see multiple blog looks over the coming months.

Meanwhile, I'll continue to blog every week about books I love.

Cheers!

Yours in Books

  1. I look forward to your changes. I have been thinking the same thing about my blog but haven't taken the time to do anything about it yet. I does take quite some time. Have fun!

  2. Hello. I just wanted to say that I really love your blog, which I stumbled on sometime last week. I noticed you had a lot of books you have read that are on my "to be read" list.. and a many of them I don't have! I spent the better part of last week working my way backward through all of your reviews and based on your reviews I have added many more books to my "to be read" list! :)

I have come to your "Books I've read in 2013" but when I try to click on the link it doesn't work. I also tried entering the name of the book in the search box but still couldn't locate the review. Is there a way I can read your reviews from 2013, 2012 and 2011?

    Thank you and happy reading!

  3. Hi Lisa: I'm so glad you like my blog. The first few years of my blog I didn't link my books read lists back to the reviews (I blame it on just plain old not knowing what I was doing!). 2011 & 2012 links actually take you to bn.com to order books. So, thank you for reminding me that I need to fix all of that. I will be working on linking the books to the reviews; in the meantime, if you go to the blog archive link on the right side of my blog, it will show you each year; click on the year and you can read all of the book reviews for those years. Please let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

  4. Hi Sue,
Thank you so much for helping me find the reviews for past years. I really can't wait to see what you read during that time. It's fun to see a book you read that I have on my own "to be read" list.. but even more fun to find books I've never heard of from your blog. I think you are drawn to the same type of books that I am. I really like the foodie books.. though I have never read one.. strange isn't it? I just like the idea of a book taking place around food.. so I'm going to read at least one this year. I am also drawn to Magical Realism books.. and I've seen that you have read "The House on Tradd Street" and "The Cherry Cola Book Club" which have been on my "to read" list forever. I think I will find many more treasures while reading your blog. :)

    Best,
    Lisa
